Maslenitsa’s pancakes guide

16 February 2015

Let’s celebrate the Maslenitsa’s week with unusual pancakes with various fillings. Cronwell Hotels & Resorts suggest tasty and funny ending of this winter.

A special menu was made in the restaurant "Favorite", which is located in the hotel Cronwell Inn Stremyannaya, in the heart of St. Petersburg. Our chef gives advice to all foreign tourists: to feel the mysterious Russian soul, you must at least once in your life come to celebrate Malsenitsa. That's why this week's menu consists entirely of Russia's traditional fillings: pancakes with condensed milk, sour cream, cherry sauce, apples, honey and cinnamon, red caviar, salmon, tongue and boiled pork.

Russian fun awaits you in the country hotel Repino Cronwell Park. On the coast of the Gulf of Finland winter reigns still, but its noisy farewell ceremony will take place on February 22. Exactly at 11 entertainment program "The main pancake day" will begin on the hotel territory. You will see a performance of the ensemble of Russian song "Kumushka", races on stilts and, of course, burning of a straw man! Well, during the week you can taste pancakes with simple and original fillings in the restaurant with amazing views of the frozen Gulf, crystal white snow with first rays of spring sun.

Siberian Maslenitsa will warm citizens and guests with hot tea and pancakes. From 16 to 22 February at the Cronwell Inn Tursunt restaurant there is a special pancake menu from the chef: here you can find pancakes with poppy and honey, crispy pancakes, fried in butter, with meat and sour cream.
