The Federation Council held a meeting on the problems of migration control in hotels
On July 30, the Federation Council held the meeting with representatives of the hospitality community on the issues of transferring information about the foreign citizens’ migration registration and residence registration of Russian citizens in the local FMS initiated by the Russian Hotel Association. President of the Russian Hotel Association (RHA) Gennady Lamshin, vice president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Sergei Korneev, representatives of business, ministries and departments gathered to determine the actions and strategy of effective interaction between government and business. Management of Gallery Cronwell Hotels & Resorts was invited to the meeting, as it has considerable experience in the development of proposals for optimization of migration control in hotels.
Valery Ryazanskiy, the chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, conducted the meeting. Aleksey Musakin, CEO of Cronwell Management, head of the St. Petersburg branch of RHA, presented the opinion of the St. Petersburg business community, having supported the proposal of the hotel "Baltschug Kempinski" Director Aleksander Bobylev, implying the need to develop the necessary software for the transmission of migration control in FMS under state control, in any case not giving it to commercial organizations.
Valery Ryazanskiy assured participants that, this item would be under his personal attention, and all details will be reported to the Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
